About Us

Jenya“JenulenceTM, a small family owned company, was created on February 2003 out of our love for all-natural and pure cosmetics and skin care products. Our very first name was Alpha Skin Care, where Alpha represented our being the first and the best” - Jenya
JenulenceTM founder Jenya Bushmich was born in the Ukraine to the family of two medical doctors. She was made aware of the importance of healthy living at a very young age. Back in the days of the Soviet Union consumer products were very difficult to acquire, so people often relied on folk remedies and traditional healing methods.
Jenya was always interested in herbal and old-fashioned recipes for skin care, health care and cooking, which she believes are all connected.
After she lost her mother to ovarian cancer Jenya became eager to learn about this disease as much as she could. She learned that pollution in our environment, food and cosmetics could be a huge contributing factor to cancerous diseases. This knowledge brought a life changing experience to the whole family.
When Jenya arrived to America in 1990 she was overwhelmed at the abundance of available information and at the variety of consumer products on the market. However, she was not often able to understand the ingredients listed on many of the labels. The most frustrating experience was reading the ingredients list on virtually any skincare product. One had to be a chemist to really understand what was inside those makeup kits and lotions.
Jenya always understood that skin is a living, breathing and detoxifying organ, which absorbs a big portion of what we put on it. First she started to make soap and moisturizing body balms for herself, her children and eventually for her friends. Of course at the beginning there were a lot of mistakes, and quite a few batches of her creations went down the drain. However, after lengthy experimenting, she managed to create a number of high quality products, which brought a lot of very positive feedback from everybody who used them.
Eventually she decided to open her own business and make her products, which are free of toxins and preservatives, commercially available on the Internet. The company motto is: “If you can’t eat it, don’t use it on your skin”.

Jenya's middle son Dmitry proofread the text on this website and fixed all the mistakes he'd found. Most of the photos on this website are made by Jenya's youngest son, Andrey, seen here with mom. Family pet Boosya is a dog among cats in his loyalties and responsiveness!
